Description
In contrast to many religious buildings in Europe, the architecture of religious structures in Asia is frequently multicolored. Bold and bright hues abound. Architectural detail is intricate, full of interest. Structure and decoration often become one. Being in a happy mood and feeling optimistic is not an uncommon reaction experienced while visiting temples and shrines. Even statues have Buddha smiling. When exploring nooks and crannies I discover vignettes of exceptional beauty. Believers and tourists see temples through different lenses than mine. I am a seeker of subjects for my photo paintings. Selecting from things old to create contemporary abstract art. May you discover visual and mental enjoyment from sights previously passed by.
