This print is beautiful. It's a commonly depicted subject, but it is very special. The composition, tonal quality, and movement are exceptional and evocative. The piece is true to it's title... breathtaking!

I have wanted this for my pro life bulletin board at my Catholic Church and I wasn’t disappointed. It is beautiful and it has so much meaning put in a picture. A picture speaks better then words and this picture says it all. Thanks
Artist's Description
As the John Denver song goes, “sunshine makes me happy” holds true for me. It literally lightens my spirits. It also creates countless different pictures of the same subject as it paints with ever-changing hues. What an artist's delight. It was late on a Spring afternoon the last time I visited the Sumiyoshi Taisha Shrine in Osaka, Japan. The sunlight was highlighting various parts of the temple buildings in a rich golden light. My narrow focus on the top of this building isolated the high contrast between the decorative gable and surrounding thatched roofs of traditional Japanese architecture. This rather geometric architectural abstract art is a photo painting based on a reference picture I took of the scene. May you enjoy the magic of sunlight in this artwork and in nature.

Twice during my corporate design career I designed and built my own house. Travels allowed visits to noteworthy architectural sites on four continents. Experiencing buildings first hand has brought and continues to bring feelings of joy, amazement, excitement and wonder. On occasion tears and...
