I love my new mug, and the forest scenario on it it’s calming and just beautiful
Many cities have preserved old buildings by converting them into shopping areas. Sanxia Old Street in New Taipei City, Taiwan is a good example. Tourists and locals both are drawn to the small shops and restaurants. Most are colorful, happy areas lifting everyone's spirits. Here I shopped for visual delights, focusing on little visual vignettes most walked by. In this architectural abstract photo painting, the beauty of a restored brick facade and decorative window create a multicolored exciting image, which in my mind's eye, reflected the mood of Sanxia Old Street.
Architecture and architectural detail have been a lifelong love. As a matter of fact, many of my first drawings and paintings were of barns on and around my grandparents farm. When deciding what university major to pursue, it was only due to my less than outstanding math grades that prevented my choice of architecture. However, obtaining a degree in advertising design turned out to be an excellent choice. Yet my interest in architecture persisted. Twice during my corporate design career I designed and built my own house. Travels allowed visits to noteworthy architectural sites on four continents.
