Like the logo but not the tank top so much it rides to low at the front and the back.
It was a hot day when two Taiwanese friends and I arrived at the famous Anping Tree House in Tainan, Taiwan. What was once a sizable warehouse is now totally covered with the roots and branches of a banyan tree. At first it was a little scary moving in and around the tentacles of banyan and crumbling masonry walls. The man made roof was completely gone but the heavy net of leaf covered branches gave us a respite from the heat and sun. While quiet, I did not feel it was a place for relaxing or meditating, as a sense of foreboding made me uncomfortable. Kind of like visiting a graveyard at night. Wherever a heavy, dark, mysterious visual is required, my photo painting of this window would be most apropos.
Architecture and architectural detail have been a lifelong love. As a matter of fact, many of my first drawings and paintings were of barns on and around my grandparents farm. When deciding what university major to pursue, it was only due to my less than outstanding math grades that prevented my choice of architecture. However, obtaining a degree in advertising design turned out to be an excellent choice. Yet my interest in architecture persisted. Twice during my corporate design career I designed and built my own house. Travels allowed visits to noteworthy architectural sites on four continents.
