Hanging out with several Taiwanese friends for a weekend in Tianan, Taiwan we discovered a colorful and quaint cafe along an old narrow street not far from the large open-air market just visited. Orders were placed on the first floor and were delivered to our table on the second floor. The atmosphere oozed contemporary decor and old structures. A most pleasing combination which we enjoyed for more than an hour. Architectural detail adds much to our life, independent of its age.
