Description
In the quiet solitude of a Confucius temple in Pingtung, Taiwan, I turned a corner and this bold bright red sight simply screamed at me. It was a rare occasion when I felt a need to cover my eyes rather than my ears. Walking through the archway I entered a room lined with prayer boxes. My eyes created mixed feelings. I felt reverent, contemplative, and respectful, yet its visual impression was causing feelings of excitement, happiness, and lightheartedness. Temples can be religious and mysterious.

Each viewer sees through many lenses, such as past experiences, culture, mood, training, and interests. I have never been disappointed in being among those that give little attention to the forest while I delight in the beauty of the trees. I also enjoy manipulating my photos creating unique images no one has enjoyed before.
